gagaschickens 4 Posted August 6, 2020 Share Posted August 6, 2020 Hi everybody! So as I mentioned a few times before, my debut EP, fancyhat, was coming out August 7th. The day has come, so here it is! ✨welcome to the universe of fancyhat ✨ First of all, I am fully aware sound quality isn't the greatest. But given my current recording equipment, it's really the best that could be done. There are little clickity clackity sounds, from the keyboard, but consider that percussion. I provided a Google Drive link, where I recommend you listen to the album, but it's also on YouTube. However, I believe Google Drive where you can listen the music to it's full potential because sound quality is slightly better. I'll try to make way clearer recordings in the future, as I'm already working on a high quality version of my first single, The Potato Song. That said, I really hope you'll enjoy my work. It is very amateur, but I'm honestly very proud of the whole project, since I wrote it so early on in my musical journey (around one year in playing piano) and have gotten a bit of support throughout it thus far, which I am really grateful for. The project is very much piano instrumentals, heavily inspired by the 1998 Teletubbies soundtrack and some tracks like "Little Spider Fight" are inspired by things I learn on my piano lessons. I might do smol livestreams in the near future, explaining the writing process and chilling with you guys. It's gonna be awesome! Now only if you made a video for fancyhat and Little Spider Fight you'd have a full on visual EP! Woah this alternative version of The Potato Song! Babylon whooo???? Don't know her THE KAZOO!!!! Wow I just heard everything, this is a PERFECT EP! Kinda sad you didn't add anything with your uke but that's fine! That's what your full album's gonna be for! Overall this is the one of the best EPs I've heard this year! And it's actually GOOD piano playing too! How long have you been writing for? I've written my first song, The Potato Song, last year in April. Since then I've been writing here and there, and the entire EP was finished by February.
