He's ignorant and he definitely should know better than to say some of the stuff he's been saying, but I don't think he's a racist. Quite frankly I think that comparing him to Donald Trump is such a stretch. Donald Trump and his base are racists. They are. I don't think Joe Biden is. Also, before I get like a billion sad reactions, let me say that the only reason I'm voting for Joe Biden is because he's better off than Trump. I didn't agree with many of his stances during the primary and quite frankly he was like my 5th choice to become the nominee in the primaries. I'm not a Biden "sympathizer" by any means. I just think calling him a racist isn't accurate. He's worked with racists (most notably Strom Thurmond), and that is definitely questionable behavior that I think should be challenged, but as for Biden himself, I don't think that's a fair statement to make. So no That completely contradicts what you said in your original post? Biden performed well with people who already vote Democrat, and Bernie performed well with... the groups you claimed Biden performed well with. Many, many, many publications detailed the very real fact that Bernie was electable. Republicans that could potentially vote for Biden represent an infinitesimally small portion of the Democratic coalition, and they will largely vote for Trump anyway, just like they did with Clinton. And that by not supporting him indirectly your basically supporting Trump who is even worse for a number of different reasons But in terms of debating policies, there's not that many here that will shoot down a simple debate because u don't agree Yeah a few unreasonable centrists and conservatives maybe. But theres always a handful like that. Same can be said about a few leftists here too that wouldn't allow any criticism of Bernie either But on the grand scheme of things it's not criticizing Biden's flaws that the vast majority have an issue with.
