The Bachelorette is getting an unprecedented shakeup. The ABC reality show has cast a new lead for season 16, just two weeks into filming. Clare Crawley, who was announced as the Bachelorette in early March (before production was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic), has been replaced with Tayshia Adams, ET has learned.

As ET previously reported, Crawley's journey will "still be a part of" this season of the show, which had only been filming for a few weeks. Fans will have to tune in to watch what happens with Crawley and the contestants, but ET has learned that the 39-year-old did fall for one of her men, which is why her time with the show came to an end.

A source says, as fans have seen in recent seasons, "anything can happen" on a Bachelor franchise show. The source says Crawley did leave on good terms with producers, but how exactly the season will play out in its entirety is unclear, as filming is still underway. "Filming did not stop, but Tayshia got a fresh start as the Bachelorette," the source shares. It is unclear if a new crop of contestants have been brought in to date Adams.

Nice to hear when people leave on good terms. Everything always doesn’t have to be negative.

Her replacement looks just as good. :v:

I haven't watched The Bachelor in ages, but check out Reality Steve. I remember he used to have tons of spoilers through his connections on the show.

No, but I heard one of the Bachelor in Paradise summer shows had some same-sex hookups.

Yeah I think that is where they get most of their spoilers. Although the subreddit had some beef with him because he called the members "the dregs of society" and they banned links to his site :ladyhaha:

I think out of the whole franchise I only watched one season of The Bachelor, half of one season of The Bachlorette, and a season of Bachelor In Paradise. It can be really entertaining at times, but it's just so much of a time investment. Two hours twice a week watching paint dry for 10 minutes of actual entertaining content is a questionable trade-off.
