I don´t think this is true.

Page Six is actually kind of reliable when it comes to this sort of thing. They may be a gossip rag (better than most of the tabloid ones), but they often get performances/announcements right. This isn't the same as some random on twitter or like Star magazine.

IF Gaga did actually want to do that, that seems odd to me. Knowing what she knows about the virus, it seems like an odd choice considering we are now entering wave 2.

Well, if people obeyed (lol) the rules I could see it...drive-in movie theaters are experiencing a huge surge in popularity due to COVID-19 and it makes sense people would try to do the same type of thing with music. I actually sort of buy this as Page Six is often right when it comes to this sort of thing :(. That said, the potential backlash...I'm glad they didn't end up doing it even if it would have been cool.

Wave 2 of being bummed about cancelled performances I didn't know about before they were cancelled :fatcat: but this kind of gives me hope for a performance at the VMAs if they can get it together.

Honestly, I think a socially distanced/video taped ROM performance for the VMAs would be a hot mess. The production values, the two of them trying to sing it together, etc. It's not like they can perform it together in an appropriate setting with all the right sound people. It would just turn out to be mostly lip-synching or awkward as h*ll...kind of like how Meg has these bomb as* looking performances but she's clearly lip synching most of it.

Actually, all of the Chromatica tracks might be kind of weird in a scaled down taped performance (I doubt they can do "normal" taped performances due to COVID-19) due to the production unless she does the piano version of 1000 Doves.

This is actually kind of sad (outside of Gaga). The music industry is seriously impacted by COVID-19 from the sound guys to the lighting to well...everything. The whole "drive in" concept, like "drive in" theaters, seemed like a good idea....but people acted like fools at the Chainsmokers event. I really wonder how the "behind the scenes" types who help put on performances or the people who work at/own venues are going to survive this...

Also y’all can blame the rich South Hampton New Yorkers who went to the show not the Chainsmokers themselves because everyone who went was rich. The lowest ticket price was $1250 and the most was $25k with the money going to charity.

Some rich yt gays went as well fyi

I believe it’s cause the audience is supposed to be socially distanced and stay in their cars the whole time (since it’s an outdoor drive-in event) but after seeing how the fans at the chainsmokers concert didn’t respect social distancing, she decided it was against her values and pulled out.

It's important to note that it wasn't Gaga's or Ariana's decision to pull out.

The venue itself said no, because the venue has absolutely no faith in gays staying socially distant when confronted with a surprise Lady Gaga. The venue feared that this surprise performance could cost them their license to host any other future performances.

Gaga really had an AMAZING era prepared for us, ready to give us everything we ever wanted, and it was all ruined by this virus

I hate it :messga: I hope they're still things to come that they have just postponed. Come on, Gaga!

They should have rented security at every car door so they couldn't get out :messga:

I highly don't think this is true, Gaga preached so much about the virus in those past months that it would be ridiculous for her to do this now. Not all sources are believable
