melon 3,669 Posted July 30, 2020 Share Posted July 30, 2020 Looks like the Oxford vaccine might be ready for mass production early 2021 but it won’t be for another few months after that that people outside of the medical profession and presumably teachers will be vaccinated. Also it doesn’t stop you from getting the virus, just will help most people avoid the severe side effects of it and therefore slash the death rate but not completely make the virus a non issue. I just read an interview with a doctor from Johns Hopkins who said he thinks late 2021 is more realistic for wide distribution. Mostly I've seen mid-2021 predictions at the earliest.
