“My music is not a c*m shot”

Basically this era was just one c*m shot and we didn’t even get a towel!

Not a surprise. It hit #1 and did decently in the subsequent weeks before a drop off....it's been out for over 2 months. It had great streams and sold well.

I get why they aren't investing anymore when they have Billie's new track to push.

Surely this is an indication that another single is coming?

I mean Joanne had 2 radio singles in the US while ASIB had 1.... Im not sure if there are more singles from this record.

REALITY

Honestly, it's frustrating to see what this era has become.

I love Gaga, and ultimately I will respect whatever decision she and her team come up with, but to see that Interscope themselves aren't even willing to push ROM anymore (a song that had huge potential), is sad to see. I really hope that we get something soon. I understand that there are bigger and more pertinent issues in the world right now, and I absolutely want Gaga to focus her time on that, but I also think that releasing the album and just leaving is a bit absurd. I mean, we knew from Blade that this era was supposed to be huge. He even confirmed that all the plans aside from the in-person promo were still happening. Where is all of that?

I hope that she's doing well and I hope that we can get some more promo in the near future, but damn has this era been a disappointment.

But Shallow and Million Reasons were way more successful than any of the singles released this era, so it makes sense they kept those going.

It’a been a disappointment but that’s been this year overall, sadly. At least we can leave this era knowing it got fantastic reviews from critics, sold well and nabbed her two more top 10 singles - with one doing very well and smashing worldwide. It could have been worse.

Well that was the biggest hit of Chromatica, I guess. Definitely not a flop since it went #1 and had a decent run after, but could've been a lot better. :selena:

Ugh, it will freefall now. I love this song and thought it be a hit.

It..was a hit.  It debuted at #1 in the US and the UK & had great streaming numbers & sold well. It was still in the top ten in its 4th week. Remember one of the chart twitter accounts said it sold over 500k copies back in early or mid June.

I honestly don't get how some of you think ROM or Chromatica is a flop. Gaga was never going to do Taylor #s and her singles have rarely stayed at the top of the charts forever.

Definitely. And let me be clear: I still love Chromatica. Right now it's either my favorite Gaga album or my second favorite Gaga album, depending on how I'm feeling. I just wish the era was as fleshed out as she intended it to be—and that doesn't necessarily mean in-person promo. I'd literally be okay with her in sweats and a t-shirt singing one of her songs on Instagram live. I just miss her interactions with us.

Million Reasons and Shallow did awful on pop radio in the US. MR’s peak was #17 while Shallow peaked at #19.

Stupid Love and Rain on Me at least did decent. SL peaked at #11, ROM’s peak is #9.

I doubt MR was bigger than ROM.
