In the middle of a global pandemic, the "left" party can't even superficially endorse the sort of equitable healthcare system that every other industrialized country on Earth already has. Absolutely despicable.

TBH I don't get why the left doesn't move towards multi-payer universal health care. it's not like single-payer is the most common way to get universal healthcare around the world, either. Germany arguably has the best healthcare in the world and it's multi-payer UH.

When will y’all finally realize the Democrat and Republican Party are both extremely corrupt.

Biden’s healthcare plan would add in a public option to the ACA which would guarantee free universal healthcare. Same accomplishment of M4A without forcing people to give up private insurance if they don’t want to.

And Paula Abdul ain’t got [BLEEP] on me!

...Everyone on the left has known this for decades. Aside from the 6 or 7 conservative Democrats on this site that spend their time defending the party apparatus against obvious, legitimate criticism in every political thread that gets posted, it's fairly common knowledge that the Democratic Party is in the pocket of the corporate interests that fund their campaigns. The entire American political system is fundamentally broken.

M4A is not the way to go... clearly Americans don't want to do healthcare this way, which is why they didn't vote for Bernie. Theres better options that aren't so divisive. I think Biden and his White House will come up with something good

Yup like expanding on Obamacare which is an absolute atrocity.

This is literally, objectively false. An overwhelming majority of Democrats support it and a large portion of Republicans support it as well. Medicare for All is only divisive to the party leadership, individuals who take large sums of money in the form of campaign donations from pharmaceutical companies that profit off of working class people's illnesses, injuries and medical pain.

Older voters swung the election for Biden, and they voted for Biden because every liberal or neo-con commentator on every major cable news show (for whom the average viewer is 50-60+) spent the last five years presenting the notion of a Bernie Sanders candidacy as an electoral disaster and parroted the line that we needed a "moderate" to beat Trump. All of the other moderate candidates dropped out simultaneously and endorsed Biden while Bernie was winning the primary expressly to stop him from taking the nomination and all of their support flowed to Biden, while the press cheered them on. We've already established what happened in the primary and it had nothing to do with the incredibly popular policies that Sanders campaigned on.

I was behind the scenes this year as an observer at the Pennsylvania Dems DNC vote, and it was... an experience.  Lemme just say that I’m not surprised that the platform isn’t progressive at this point.

I'm talkin' 'bout forever, baby.

I am SO ****ing sick of the Democrats acting like "We have to try to be moderate to appeal to voters..." Um, no. Republicans in the US are now extremely far-right batshit crazy, and they haven't lost any votes because Republicans always fall in line, no matter how disgusting their candidates are. You won't win their vote. Just do the right thing already.  :tony:
