Well, on YouTube I keep reading comments on country songs about how country is not even country anymore, so I guess Taylor’s impact has definitely been felt across the country music scene.

In terms of pop, no she hasn’t had any impact other than being very successful with the GP. Dassit. Shania already did dat in the 90s tho.

clearly, she showed that it's possible to succeed in the industry through pure talent with songwriting as your dominant talent. she didn't succeed through incredible vocals, extravagant outfits, huge stage shows, controversy or anything similar, she succeeded through her ability to write an amazing song (this isn't a dig at gaga, gaga succeeded through her ability to write an unbelievably catchy pop hook)

no, not at all, carole king is phenomenally talented. but she isn't known for being a popstar, taylor is. taylor showed that it's possible to be a pop artist with amazing lyricism as your predominant talent.

In terms of "influencing" other artists? Idk. But she's certainly been successful 

 

Her impact was withholding her music from streaming services which Beyonce followed suit and kept me from listening to lemonade for like a couple years
