Should Gaga ditch pop?

Of course not! I'd love for her to work with different producers though. More rock or r&b influenced music would be fun to hear from her. 

I'm sure she'll do another jazz album first. I'll definitely be here for it since I wasn't present for the C2C era.

Omg this fanbase is literally getting only worse and worse

I distinctly remember the people in here complaining about C2C and Joanne all the f*cking time and were impatient as hell for her to do another pop record and when she finally did it after 7 years some of y'all are saying that she should've done another jazz or folk album and ditch pop, like what do you want???

I want her to drop all pretext and make whatever the **** she wants. Her work has felt constrained for years. I understand she’s in a difficult position and is trying to make it work, but I have felt since ARTPOP that she has wanted out of the commercial pop industry and I would love to see her do something completely new.

People only like the “music not the bling” argument when its convenient to them. Few people genuinely give a **** about Gaga as a person and what she genuinely wants to do.

the best thing should could do would be decide she doesn't care about radio play.   That would free her up to do whatever she wants.

To me Gaga’s tweet about being a pop star isn’t anything personally to do with Chromatica, how I understood it was how she felt at the time and the package that comes with being a really famous pop star. To me Chromatica is probably her most personal album so I’d really wouldn’t say her heart isn’t in it, plus she said the uplifting sound healed her. That’s just my view, I also get a lack of performances or not much coming from her since probably comes across as if she isn’t as passionate about it, but so much has happened since. Tbh I still have hope she has something up her sleeve.

Umm I think if she hadn't wanted to do something like Chromatica she simply wouldn't have released it. Since ARTPOP Gaga learned to do what she likes and comes out of her heart without paying attention to her fans or her record label.

Is clearly with Chromatica she wanted it to be a 90s House/Dance album bc she likes that music too

If she wanted to do something for the charts would released a Latin Pop/Urban album featuring J Balvin, Bad Bunny and all of those mediocre artists

If she wanted to do something for her fans she would have released a TFM 2.0 with dated 2009 sounds

I remember when Gaga delayed the album, 95% of fans on this site were angry they weren't getting music and called Gaga a money hungry, selfish human being, when in reality, she helped raised 127m dollars to help those in need during this devastating time. Notice, they only asked for new music, which they eventually got, but now they want more. They want promotion, even though back in March, that isn't the main thing they wanted. I'm just tired of the fans complaining so much and undermining Gaga's creativity, message and artistry because she's silent. No one knows exactly what she is doing, but every single time she's been quiet, something is happening behind the scenes.

I hate how fans are now saying Gaga doesn't care for Chromatica, but from what I've seen, she most definitely does. Look at the evidence. If COVID-19 didn't happen, she would've done a secret set at Coachella, perform at multiple award shows, and she would be on tour right now. She literally wanted to do the most for this album.

Also the fact Chromatica has some of the best lyrical and deep messages in her entire discography, so it does go to show that she put her heart out for this record.

The fact is, no one knows whats going on behind the scene and it shouldn’t matter. When she’s ready to come back, she will. Period. People think they are entitled to her as a human being. Maybe thats why Plastic Doll is so disliked, people feel personally addressed by it

Yes. Her fanbase is hands down the most selfish and entitled of them all. It's not really a surprise why she's a wreck now.
