in the beginning where the taxi cab rolls up to the house, you can still see Joan in the car!

this is so sad and I’m really heartbroken, Olivia and her movies mean so much to me. She was such a sweet lady, who fought thought and nail for a different representation of women on screen and actually had a hand indirectly in abolishing the studio system. She definitely left a mark not only through her work but also because of her actions

This really saddened me... I've loved her for years, and I've been meaning to write her a letter for ages, even wishing to be able to meet her one day in Paris. She lived a long and full life, but I can't help feeling shaken. She was the last Great.

Oh my god!! I actually sent her a letter to the Rue Beonuville address in June, but I suspect she wasn’t well enough by then. I know someone who sent her a letter a few years ago and she replied, she was very sweet

who will love me when the night is over

Damn... I knew this day would come and I'd regret not doing it sooner. I guess it's another reminder that we should enjoy the present and stop pushing things we want to do for later.

She wasn't in that movie - I believe you're referring to Joan Crawford, who passed away many years ago. But Olivia was depicted in the series Feud: Bette and Joan, played by Catherine Zeta-Jones

I've always thought Catherine Zeta-Jones was a weird choice to play her. Tho she did a good job, she missed that inherent sweetness Olivia possessed.

10 decades in fact :flower:

I honestly haven’t seen any of her movies but her career is extremely impressive, and I bet she achieved all she ever dreamed of. RIP mademoiselle

Yeah, I meant century. It was late yesterday . Anyway, that doesn't change that she was an amazing woman :diane:
