Spock 20,290
this is so sad and I’m really heartbroken, Olivia and her movies mean so much to me. She was such a sweet lady, who fought thought and nail for a different representation of women on screen and actually had a hand indirectly in abolishing the studio system. She definitely left a mark not only through her work but also because of her actions 1 hour ago, elijahfan said: This really saddened me... I've loved her for years, and I've been meaning to write her a letter for ages, even wishing to be able to meet her one day in Paris. She lived a long and full life, but I can't help feeling shaken. She was the last Great. Oh my god!! I actually sent her a letter to the Rue Beonuville address in June, but I suspect she wasn’t well enough by then. I know someone who sent her a letter a few years ago and she replied, she was very sweet who will love me when the night is over

I guess it's another reminder that we should enjoy the present and stop pushing things we want to do for later.

But Olivia was depicted in the series Feud: Bette and Joan, played by Catherine Zeta-Jones I've always thought Catherine Zeta-Jones was a weird choice to play her. Tho she did a good job, she missed that inherent sweetness Olivia possessed.
