Taylor Swift's new album, "Folklore", is headed for a #1 debut so far - selling over 650,000 copies thus far... +1M worldwide in just 24 hours. 

The album's opening track, "The 1", earned the biggest first day streams by any female artist in Spotify history. The album has also earned the biggest opening day for a female artist on Spotify - with over 80 million streams.

Honestly they're probably lowballing, even with no promotion it exceeded first-day expectations by a huge margin. I haven't stopped playing it since it came out, it's insanely good.

No, Lover fell short of that figure, too. 

And I'm glad it did, tbh, because it's insanely unhealthy for an artist to keep striving for a 1M debut, which in today's day and age, is totally unachievable. 

I hope Taylor has readjusted her 'key performance indicators' in line with how the industry works now... not ten years ago, or even just three, lol.
