After seeing Rina Sawayama's name mentioned so much I decided to give her a listen and after trying to find her on Spotify for 5 minutes :bear: I'm really liking her stuff from the first listen, that's rare for me :enigma:

To be honest, I’ve not been majorly impressed with the new music released this year - Chromatica, Future Nostalgia, Folklore, and How I’m Feeling Now are the only full albums I have enjoyed. I liked some songs off of After Hours and Rare, but overall I wasn’t majorly impressed.

However, for me 2020 has been a great year for music in the sense of discovering older music that I now love. I’ve discovered my love for 60/70s folk music like Don McLean and Joni Mitchell, as well as Loggins and Messina, Jim Croce, and James Taylor. Being in isolation for so long allowed me to discover and listen to a lot more music than I would’ve before when I was working and in education.

Yeah its been a great year. I'll struggle to do a top 3 by the end of it and we've only just gotten past the halfway point

The hardest thing in this world is to live in it
