Has 2020 slayed you musically?

Spock

Featured Posts

Perfume Genius, Gaga, Weeknd, Dua, Christine, Charli, Jesse and Rina were my faves.

Carly released the same album she always releases. Taylor's was a bore. Kesha's was terrible. Selena... please no.

Totally. I actually knew already in late 2019 that 2020 will be the best year of music so far.

We got I Disagree, cultural reset, album of the century

Lordi released their 10th album

Grimes released an album first time in five years

Gaga is back to dance pop

Igorrr released their 4th album

Nightwish released Human :|: Nature

Turmion Kätilöt released Global Warning and signed to Nuclear Blast Records

And the fact we are only half way done:tony:

I'm probably wrong

Love this album and cover but it reminds me a little too much of a certain member’s pfp. This member’s constant negativity towards Gaga does not work with me:triggered:

I think because of the times we are currently going through, the next five years will probably be a Renaissance or rebellion through all forms of art (depends on how the government goes the next four years) and it's really going to impact us.

Streaming is challenging artists as well. So you're either staying really true to your aesthetics, or you're going use the limits of shorter songs to boost your creativity and see how much you can pack into a few minute song.

The only albums I'm taking from 2020 are High Road and Chromatica.

Maybe I'm getting old, but new pop music hasn't been doing it for me.

Almost like it is starting to feel...

Also, Utada Hikaru is working on new music so we may see another album before the end of the year. Maybe.
