Is Gaga Becoming The Queen Of Duets?

Although in the late 2000s  she was prominent with her own solo songs, but in the turn of the century, we sees Gaga's career shifted into doing bonafide collab, from Beyoncé to Tony Bennett to the latest ones she did, with Bradley Cooper, Ariana Grande and BLACKPINK.

Matter of fact, her collab songs with the latter hold the Top 3 position for the most listened songs of hers on streaming sites such as Spotify, while her solo songs are not performing very well. On 4 and 5, when Bad Romance only hits #5 instead of Top 3, you know something is not right.

Do you think Gaga have become the collab artist who needs someone else to get traction in these streaming era? Or do you think she will prove herself that she can do something great and well received by public on her own? :oprah:

The spotify "Most Popular" section isn't always accurate by the way

Born in Chromatica

I mean, I think I do think the duets will help Gaga to have the chart toppers in the future, but I think Gaga has proven to hold her own without duets in recent times. I mean, sure, they aren't chart toppers but The Cure, Always Remember us This Way and Stupid Love all have done relatively well during their releases. Plus, Gaga's albums still sell extremely well (Joanne 1-3 million copies, ASIB 7.5 million copies (I think), Chromatica has sold over 1 million copies worldwide). So I think Gaga has proven to hold herself without others collars,  although collabs have helped her become more relevant in the streaming era as Chromatica has done very well in the streaming era.

Even if it's a duet, everybody associates Shallow with Gaga. Same for Just Dance or Telephone.

False. When I want to hear the song, I always ask "can someone play Just Dance by Colby O'Donis featuring that Madame Crazy or something?"

I mean, of course everybody knows Beyoncé is in Telephone too. What I wanted to say is that the first artist that comes to mind when they think on Telephone is Gaga.
