Anderson123 38,739
I thought this was about Justin Timberlake since Bieber just released an album this year. 5 hours ago, TimisaMonster said: I'm noticing that releasing albums a lot faster is becoming a trend...things are such a quicker pace now Songs are getting shorter Albums are released every year or a few months apart instead of years Collabs are waaaay more common than ever before Tours are shorter Etc Well that used to be a trend in the 60's, 70's and 80's I think. Vinyl records with 8 tracks on them. They released albums every year. Now with streaming it makes sense that people are quickly moving on from what they listen to. I’m usually against users bashing trap, but in Bieber’s case. His voice is not built for that type of genre.

I simply am tired of trap. I feel like a lot of artists pick from like 3-4 standard trap beats and progressions, and that's it. And it feels like it's been lasting forever. I feel like it's had it's time and it's time for a new sound to evolve and have it's moment.

I can say prior to COVID it seems like throwback sounds was meant to be the “sound” for 2020 or the 2020s.

I think it's only been in the last year that throwback (especially disco) has been slowly climbing.

Since late 2019, this throwback sound has been rising and might be the next dominant genre IF more artists hop on that vibe. So far we have: The Weeknd - 80s sound Lady Gaga - 90s sound Doja Cat - 70s sound Dua Lipa - 00s sound

I been wanting Gaga to do a mixture of R&B, disco, soul, and synthpop. But her fanbase won’t allow her do that.

Now it's almost too late not saying she's wrong but gaga probably wanted to give us a whole era we liked. i honestly prefer longer eras. but its true tho, rain on me should've been released on april (the original album release date) then when she released the album in may its time for the 3rd single.
