Half-Blood Prince takes the crown for me in both, book and movie.

Not sure about the movies, I don't think I watched all of them often enough equally.

Haven't read all the books. 

First four movies are the best. 

Whatever the movie was that 90% of it was just shots of fields and farms and sh*t was boring. 

Is that the same one where the characters "disfigure" Harry to mask his identity despite the fact Hermione and Ron only hang out with Harry, he's wearing the same outfit they previously saw him in, and it's still quote obviously Harry yet the cast is like ""?

I find it hard to rank the books because it's all one story. You can't read them in a different order or skip parts. (I mean you can of course but it doesn't make sense) So saying one is better than the other, to me is kind of bs. I think they are equally as good. The story get's obviously richer and more interesting with each book, but that doesn't mean the first one is less good.

You could rank the books in terms of which you enjoy the most of course. Then I would say for me:

1. HP5

2. HP7

3. HP1

4. HP4

5. HP2

6. HP3

7. HP6

The movies on the other hand you can rank, in terms best movie adabtion. It's all my opinion of course. I think this is how I would rank them:

1. HP2

2. HP1

3. HP3

4. HP7.1

5. HP5

6. HP4

7. HP7.2

8. HP6
