Babylon98 4,830 Posted July 23, 2020 Share Posted July 23, 2020 Let me just say I think it makes a lot of sense that artists (like Taylor, Charli XCX) are being inspired and driven to make art by the current situation, because, in my opinion art is meant (among other things obv.) to reflect the times we live in, inspire change and reflection, so it never made sense to me to use quarantine/covid-19 pandemy as an excuse to stop producing art in general. Obviously everyone gets to make their own choices regarding their art and that's fine, what I'm bugged by is this widespread belief that - bad things happening - art must stop being made/presented, when I think it's exactly the other way around.
