She just recently released a whole pop album and talked frequently about how she enjoyed going back to her pop roots and making electronic music, etc... I really doubt she'd spend years working on a pop album if she didn't "want" to. She's proven with Joanne and C2C that she's capable of doing what she wants if she really wants to, regardless of public interest so I doubt she'd go back to pop music now just for a morsel of success. I mean, fans shouldn't normally be crying for promo, nor should it be considered offensive to the artist: we all grew fond of Gaga not only because of the music but because of everything she built around it, so it definitely feels like something's missing.
