brooklynights 66
both roles were so different so its kinda hard to compare! but in the end probably ASIB, most likely bc she was acting as a real person + her character was more relatable to the viewers than in AHS/she had more acting experience at that point. anonanon 932
Imo ASIB. Some scenes I was actually pretty impressed by how natural they seemed. I'm also assuming she had more time and resources to prepare for the role. Ally was also a more layered character which helps. I can't really say too much about AHS. It was pretty campy, which is the point I guess. It's just not really my thing so I'm inherently kind of biased towards characters grounded in reality. zino 173
ahs by far, the Flicker episode alone has better and more demanding acting delivery than anything on asib
Twitter 14
She was great in both! I can’t wait to see her do another film.
Prostitute Barbie 4,077
She was better in ASIB but tbf Season 5 of AHS wasn’t the best in general. The story never really went anywhere and she could only work with what she was given so maybe that’s why her acting seemed kind of off
Sorcerer 12,487
AHS is not even in the same level as her Academy Award-nominated turn in ASIB. Look at the material. You can be the judge of it.
The Clown 539
4 hours ago, Steven said: Unpopular opinion: I don't find her acting to be that good, just average. But I guess I'd say ASIB which felt more natural and less forced. Yep, I kind of agree. However, this might just have to do with me being a Monster, as I cannot really separate her persona from her characters and thus they never really come to life. The GP and critics seem to really like her, though.

Mariano 958
Overall ASIB, but Gaga's highs on AHS might actually be bigger, but people aren't ready for this convo hihi.

imnotyourbabe10 6,100
ASIB for me, for the most part. But as an AHS fan (well, somewhat fan -- the seasons have been a hit or miss, imho), I like her work on Hotel and Roanoke. At first I thought it was wooden acting but when I understood they were kind of mimicking the Hunger, I totally got it! I adored the way Gaga talked about the Coutness in interviews and the Coutness had some great quotes (e.g., the "shadow self" one). Hotel is one of my favorite seasons aside from Murder House, Asylum and Freakshow. Hope AHS brings back Scathach as I felt Gaga disappeared into that role even more on AHS. ssslyboy 3,273
ASIB. Why is this even a question?
