Hello? Who told you that lie that Spotify is bigger today than it was years ago? The truth is totally opposite to what you said, let's get to the facts:

 

Spotify UK weekly Top 10 songs (this week): 22,238,951 streams combined

 

Spotify UK weekly Top 10 songs (that same week back in 2017): 27,724,514 streams combined (25% bigger than this week's streams)

 

And you can compare seasons with any chart from any country, today's streams are much smaller than it was years ago at that same time, that's a fact, I only selected the UK's streams because the topic is about that country's chart.

You don't have to lie or invent a thousand mental juggles to mask one more flop in a row from Katy (or try to make it look better, because her career situation has no chance of changing for the better).

it’s a known fact that streaming platforms have increased in popularity due to the pandemic/lockdowns currently going on. platforms like Netflix and Spotify are at an all time high with streaming numbers.

i’m sorry but you need to do some serious soul searching sis. the risks of covid increase heavier with pregnant women, hence why i mentioned it. and literally nobody is travelling promoting music right now so who is “everyone else” exactly?regardless of whether the song is flopping or not - i can admit myself the song isn’t doing great, but she’s at least putting as much effort in as a pregnant woman than most artists would do w no pregnancy. she even filmed a video while pregnant and at the peak of covid. that is called DEDICATION.

if you and a couple of these other twelvies wanna play this childish 2013 game of “whos a flop and who not”, i cant stop you from doing that, live your truth i guess. but this just makes majority of our fanbase who don’t wanna get caught up in stan wars look bad. it isn’t fair on the ones just listening to the music and NOT the drama.

I am using data from 2017 because Spotify Data only provides data from 2017 onwards, and the difference in streams from 2016 to 2017 wasn't big. You were caught lying, saying that Spotify is bigger today than it was years ago, which is not true, because even with the pandemic (a flawed argument, since according to you, more people are at home streaming and also that Spotify is supposed to be bigger nowadays (??)). Today's streams are much smaller than they were years ago. Look at the numbers before you go out there lying to defend your favs.

 

I'm not trying to prove that Katy flopped, because that's a fact. And I am, I'm enjoying the deserved success Gaga is having this year, which has nothing to do with the fact that Katy is flopping. Nobody needs to prove something that everybody already knows.

 

And what does the fact that she's pregnant have to do with the fact that she's failing? She has literally performed Daisies/NRO on over 10 different shows, released 3 videos for this song + an acoustic version + 2 remixes, and even for Smile she released a studio-produced video, what else could she do? Perform the songs on the moon or on Mars? Also it's more than obvious that her fans will say that Smile isn't a single after this horrendous performance, even though Katy herself called this song a single in her Instagram: "SMILE: THE SINGLE — OUT NOW"

 

And who really needs to grow up here is you, to learn to deal with facts about that Katy has been flopping since 2014 and also have to learn to stop lying compulsively thinking no one's gonna check the data and find out the truth.

 

Katy is flopping because she didn't have the capacity to reinvent herself and the gp got tired of her pastel comedy and the same lame old songs. As i said, no excuses.

No one is being negative here, we are being honest and realistic: Katy is flopping, it's a fact, whether you like it or not.
