"Yeezus" is the sixth studio album by American rapper and producer Kanye West. It was released on June 18, 2013, through Def Jam Recordings and Roc-A-Fella Records. (source; wikipedia)

I really like this album by Kanye. It may not sound like early kanye but it is amazing. Though it is critically acclaimed, I remember when it was released alot of people (ye fans) didnt like the album. It has alot of good songs in it. My faves are Black Skinhead, New Slaves, On Sight etc.

And also the SNL perfomance of Black Skinhead is good. :flower:

early ye was definitely him at his strongest! i understand he’s going through mental health stuff but i feel ever since “my beautiful dark twisted fantasy” his ego has been through the roof, and hyped up his music as being “godly” but ends up being mediocre:billie:

if he didn’t have a high ego i’d probs enjoy his music more as he’s actually pretty talented! he just kinda puts his talent to waste most of the time

Although My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is his best album, Yeezus is definitely my favorite. He committed to the harsh/electronic sound while making it his own, enlisted collaborators that would sell that sound in an organic and fresh way (Daft Punk!?!?), and followed through with the specific braggadocio and confidence his records are known for. Nothing in his discography sounds like it and the fact that he was able to pull it off so naturally is one of the things that makes it so appealing.
