Her dad is pure evil.

He definitely is. I would hate to have him as a dad

I must admit, before the conservatorship Britney was a hot mess. Endless shopping sprees, partying with Paris & Lindsay, exposing herself (multiple times), car accidents, driving with her baby in her lap, missing 8 out of 14 drug tests, speaking in different accents, involuntary admission into a mental facility, shaving her head, destruction of property.....

I totally get that this was all due to fame and that she was taken advantage of and was basically a prisoner but the point is that it’s broken her, completely. 100%. And now she needs help, no doubt. Am I for letting her do her own thing? I’m not quite sure. She doesn’t have a great track record. I would be devastated if we lost her because of letting her free. But maybe that’s what she truly wants? I get so emotional about this! 😭

It’s a travesty!

I’m not blaming anyone exactly but I have a feeling that part of her “messy personality” came exactly due of people  control. I think that it worked as a escape valve for her in many times.

okay but we have to consider that all those things happened at a time in her life where she was undiagnosed and unmedicated, and that many factors played into it, one of them being the lack of control she already had over her career and decisions at the time.

there is no way to get that type of conservatorship. her father is abusive and controlling and he wants to have her locked up under his hold 100%. I much more trust a (nearly) 40-year old, medicated Britney over her greedy, controlling dad.

this is the state of grace, this is the worthwhile fight

people do a lot worse things in their mid 20's while not being in a conservatorship. they imprisoned her and it is scary that this is legal. she is a grown woman and even if she needs medication that doesnt mean she shouldnt have control over her own life. they use her kids as leverage to keep her under control and use her as a moneymaker. they are all disgusting and they should rot in a small dirty cell

You will learn respect!

These things may be true but it should be dissolved over time.

stop speaking as if she's a ****ing caged animal or a circus act, she's a medicated 38-year old woman who deserves respect and freedom. this response is gross in so many ways so I conclude there's not much interest in pursuing discussion with someone who'd rather see Britney Spears under the control of her dad who is milking her like a cow for money than free at last.

She deserves some peace tbh. The music industry, her parents and the toxic people around her have milked her to an unhealthy point.

Hopefully someone who cares for her will support her until she's able to take control over her life again.

I'm gonna play devil's advocate for a second.  Has anyone considered that this conservatorship helped her and even saved her?  And that she may be dead right now if it wasn't for the conservatorship?  I'm not saying it's absolutely the case but just something to think about.  Please don't attack me; I'm just presenting another point of view.

Tbh, it's quite the opposite. She wants control back of her life, but her alcoholic, abusive father won't allow that because of the fact that he's continuously power hungry. She's been under this conservatorship since 2008, and she hasn't hurt a soul at all. She's not even allowed to see her kids much right now because of her dad

I hope that happens too. She doesn't deserve all this toxicity around her at all. What's sad is her own sister isn't even doing anything to help her out

I apologize for being insensitive. You're absolutely right.

She has Bipolar, which is serious for sure. But as long as takes her meds? She should be fine. Millions live with that disease (my brother in law for one) and do so at a high functioning level. She's older and wiser than she was in 2008. She deserves the right to be free. Mental illness isn't illegal. She has hundreds of millions of dollars and can get the best doctors and meds ON HER OWN.

I am not a fan of her music, but I am a fan of her. I wish her only the very best.

It may have 'saved' her at the start but the fact it was made permanent after a promise to Britney it would not be and the fact the Judge who made it permanent has been accused of being corrupt.

The man in charge of the conservatorship (her father) has ALWAYS had a very strained relationship with Britney, he was an alcoholic and abusive to Britney's mother and would regularly cheat on her. Jamie got the family into so much debt when they were young, Britney worked in a craw fish restaurant for money and when she got her big break she is the one who paid off all of his debt.

Jodi, who is in conservator of the person (in charge of day to day life and medical care) has been sued MULTIPLE times for conservatorship/elder abuse and is currently being sued AGAIN. The families who have dealt with her have said how awful she is (I can locate the podcast with them explaining their awful experiences with Jodi).

The lawyer who was a conservator said the conservatorship was a 'hybrid business' model, this is not something you'd describe a conservatorship as being, this shows its just in place for money. Britney's business manager (Lou) is someone Britney accursed of stalking her in 2007 and not leaving her alone, it's crazy Lou is now in charge of everything, and it has been found money of Britney's goes to Lou's husbands church which carries out conversion therapies.

Most importantly in TWELVE YEARS she has NEVER been diagnosed with any mental health disorder (confirmed in court records). You'd think someone classed as 'severely disabled' would have some sort of mental illness diagnosed and wouldn't be going on world wide tours, vegas residencies, a judge on x factor, carrying out interviews, etc.

Britney herself said in court last year that she was forced into a mental health facility last year by her father and made to take drugs.

I could go on and on, sorry so i'm just passionate, I want Britney to be free and free from this abuse!

I know you're playing devils advocate and mean nothing bad but it's SO corrupt.
