Welcome to the FIRST MIXRATE CEREMONY on three fantastic disco, dance-albums Fever, Confessions on a Dance Floor and Future Nostalgia

Fever: Kylie’s eighth studio effort, Fever, was released on October 1, 2001, and it triumphantly managed to live up to the expectations set by its lead single, “Can’t Get You Out of My Head”—a critically acclaimed pop tune that reportedly topped the charts in 40 countries, thus being regarded today as one of Minogue’s signature songs. The LP went on to be a massive commercial success across the globe, spawning three other hit singles: “In Your Eyes,” “Love at First Sight,” and “Come into My World”; a song that won Kylie a Grammy Award in 2003.

Confessions on a Dance Floor: Confessions on a Dance Floor is the tenth studio album by American singer-songwriter Madonna. It was released on 11 November 2005. The album includes influences of 1970s and 1980s disco, as well as modern-day club music. Musically, the album is structured like a DJ’s set. The songs are sequenced and blended together so that they are played continuously without any gaps. The title arrived from the fact that the album tracklisting consists of light-hearted and happy songs in the beginning, and progresses to much darker melodies and lyrics describing personal feelings and commitments. Songs on the album use samples and references of music by other dance-oriented artists like ABBA, Donna Summer, Pet Shop Boys, Bee Gees and Depeche Mode, as well as Madonna’s earlier work in the 1980s.

Future Nostalgia: Future Nostalgia is Dua Lipa’s second studio album, released on March 27, 2020 via Warner Records (Universal Music in Germany, Austria and Switzerland). The project is the follow-up to her highly successful self-titled debut album. The disco-inspired lead single, “Don’t Start Now,” was released on October 31, 2019. The title track followed as a promotional single on December 13. “Physical” was released as the second single on January 30. “Break My Heart” was released on March 25, two days before the release of the album. Future Nostalgia received universal acclaim and a near-perfect score of 88 on Metacritic.

This mixrate took a toll of me tbh. I'm not sure if I'm up for another mixrate. I literally had dance album fatigue after doing the mixrate.

I always listen to the albums while doing the rates. I literally went 2 hours plus doing this rate just listening to these 3 albums. By the end of it, i'm so over dance songs I wanna listen to R&B to clean my palate. :madge:
