So just bc he’s pro-life and anti-vaxx ur labeling him mentally ill? This is why trump won

No, his sudden flip-flopping repeatedly as well as his nonsensical claims make him mentally ill.

He shouldn't be speaking on someone else's mental health. Period.

Someone needs to when it’s something that could affect the country. It isn’t just speculation

reality’s tight if the music is right

I'm not sure a tweet saying he's untreated and unwell is the most effective way. He made multiple tweets stigmatizing mental health and only changed it after fans pointed out how insensitive and problematic they were. He obviously knows nothing about mental health and shouldn't be speaking about someone's mental health publicly.

Its no surprise. This is the same site that claims to be all about mental health and acceptance and inclusivity, but the very second it gets the chance to degrade someone based off their mental health, they pounce.

Madeon is not a psychologist. There’s nothing good or positive about taking a jab at someone’s psychological state or using someone’s mental health as an opportunity to stop them from being involved in society. You don’t have to like Kanye, but you also don’t get to label him as mentally unstable just because of his views.

He is mentally ill and has been public about living with bipolar disorder

Gives absolutely no one the right to drag him for being mentally ill, call him “untreated”, or degrade him. Bipolar doesn’t mean you need to be locked up in a white room with a straight jacket on. You can very much still be a functioning member of society. What happened “destigmatizing mental health”?

It’s not because of his views. Kanye West literally has Bipolar II.

This post doesn’t degrade him. He’s implying that people aren’t helping him by enabling him.

How are his words not degrading? Calling someone untreated and “in danger” seems off-putting and clearly shows cases that the person speaking literally knows nothing about mental health. Why is it Madeon’s place to speak on behalf of Kanye’s mental health? Like i said, being Bipolar does not mean you’re impaired. You can still be a functioning person in society and even president if you choose to be. Ultimately, I don’t think assuming a psychological professional’s role and talking about another person’s mental illness is anything to celebrate.

Altogether, I think there’s a lot of hypocrisy on this site when it comes to compassion and understanding towards mental illness. They like to flip flop depending on who the person is.

I think it only applies when speaking about GGD members, white celebrities (or the few poc ones they tolerate) or Gaga herself.

The guy disclosed himself as bipolar not so long ago. And you don't have to be a psychologist/psychiatrist to realize he has some issues going on. What he is doing is dangerous to society, and it's gonna end up in favor of another mentally unstable person who's already created enough damage in his position of President.

As someone who has suffered from mental illness, I don’t think trying to intervene when someone appears to be spiraling lacks compassion. It’s not all or nothing. I think you’re stripping all of the nuance from this conversation by making it stigma vs. no stigma

I am mentally ill too. This is not about saying being mentally ill is a bad thing. This is about saying that the kind of mental illness Kanye has especially since based on its behavior, it seems untreated, it's dangerous for him to be taken seriously for president.
