LilyLark 10,104
Good. I'm glad a lot of artists have signed on/are participating in that organization to save small venues. I'm pretty sure the org is also distributing funds, but it won't be enough....the only real solution is if the government steps up. If I remember correctly, a lot of small entertainment venues didn't qualify for PPP (which is insane) despite way larger organizations getting government money. PEZ 6,227
saving the dive bars so she can resume her Dive Bar Tour All jokes aside, this is a good cause and I'm happy to see her in on it. These businesses should qualify for federal relief like any other, their workers deserve income support to make it through these times of dire financial straits, and the up-and-coming artists who perform in smaller/independent venues need a stage on which to share their talents and passions. ⚡🐲

dit 46,482
I hope she can do a mini tour when the lockdowns are over in these small venues to help them out! at least in a couple of cities. She can do her jazz sets with Brian Newman like she would do in between Joanne tour dates!
Knife 6,888
I hope they get the help they need. Independent venues were dying like flies even before COVID-19.
