Btw, The Weeknd smashed because US radios and radios in general love him and people connected with the song, not because it became viral on TikTok (it “only” has 1M videos, DSN was much bigger on TikTok). Given the fact that we already have a #1 peaking and a #5 peaking single from the album all I want is this extra push for the album! Again, you're talking about radio for Miss Abel when we're talking about streaming. Yes, this is true, but I still really want at least some success for 911, because they made such an incredible and sometimes viral video, for this we need support from the label. All we can do now is watch and listen to the song as often as possible. We should thank Gaga for this gift. DSN was a hit because people streamed the song and had a lot of support in digital platforms and later it became a TikTok trend and it got even more attention and streams, if you don’t believe me, you can watch the videos DSN has compared to BL on TikTok. Of course when a song is liked and is given attention, specially a relatively new artist like Dua, the radio will play it. Radio, even if you don’t seem to want to admit it, is really important for a song to maintain its relevancy and keeping their streams stable. That’s why Miss Abel tried with Heartless, but it didn’t really stuck with the audience nor radio enough, so he tried with BL and that blew up. It became a hit on its own, with promo, including radio promotion. Rockstar, DSN, for example, are a few examples of much bigger trends on TikTok this year.
