It's literally the most streamed album track, It's a short song that's very addictive, that it grows on you with every replay, which if we think about it, it sounds like a quality streaming friendly song. Gaga is the type of artist that could make songs like this work (I know it's not 100% official yet). I would actually be very happy with this decision since I actually really love this song.

I'm curious tbh, cause obvs the drags were for something cause they didn't show up to the VMAs and neither did the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders

We will see, but if this is the single then the video is definitelly going to be really interesting since it's a song that you can do a lot with it.

Maybe they shot another performance or MV too (with her teal hair and so on). If not, that was the scam of the year (although it is difficult to surpass the palm trees of SL)

I don't get why youtube is so stagnant in regards to music. Like, there's so much old ass music (perfect by ed sheeran f.i.) doing numbers still and the hits of today are struggling to get decent views (even blinding lights and don't start now haven't done great). I understand the logic of western people not using youtube as much hence latin music/k-pop music having more views (and less streams/sales), I just don't understand why old western hits get so much views in comparison to recent ones, shouldn't the latter have more because it is new and people are listening to it more (in spotify, radio etc.)?... is it because of the fact that the algorithm favors videos that already have a lot of views?

The performance is at 11M right now, since there are still a few hours left and yesterday it did 7M in total, it'll probably decline little and do close to 6M in the second day, which is great.
