Yeah but to be fair, Gaga slightly shades or detaches herself from previous work quite frequently.

And in regards to Chromatica, I'm not saying the lack of promo is due to not liking the project, but she more or less stated she had to be dragged into a recording studio just to make it in the first place.

I think she's being misunderstood a lot of times, usually she doesn't have enough time to explain everything in her interviews. I think she's deeply connected with each and every one of her albums, even ARTPOP despite her living the worst period in her career back then (and she showed that she still cares about it)

Imagine if we got a lyric video like this. The serve. The innovation.

Water like misery

I hope so.

For Chromatica though, while I enjoy the album, her having little to no involvement with production, also sort of is slightly telling to me.

Not that she hates the album, but I think she's simply at a point where she wants to do other things.

I think she had an intended idea/message for the album & what she wanted to do promo wise to go along with it, but I feel like she becomes extremely impassioned by what’s going on in the world that it just shut off any type of want/care about the album right now.

Of course, she’s going to promote Haus Labs and Tudor, she’s contractually obliged too,

with Interscope, if she doesn’t want to promote, she simply doesn’t have too.

This would have made sense if her songs would not have been so well thought, if Chromatica would not have been visually pleasing and with each song coming with their own story, you can clearly see her efforts of wanting to tell something with it. I know that everyone is pissed af with the no promo situation but we also need to realize that this is not what Gaga intended to do with her album aswell, she was forced into this mess.

Oh, believe me, I don't fall into the camp of "promo complaining". I think it's her album and product and she is allowed to do whatever she wants with it.

Chris Evans rarely promotes either.

I don't see how it's an excuse tho.

I'm not judging you of anything, I'm just giving my honest opinion on it. I saw her efforts in this album, the way she was explaining how she struggled with her pain during making this album and how she pretty much said that music is healing her pain. We also saw at the beginning of the era that her intention was to perform the songs from it aswell (The Coachella thing, her already having ROM performances ready), I've been stanning her for a long time already to know that she's saying the truth (It's just that sometimes, things doesn't go on her way).

I guess it just sort of depends.

I mean, I've followed her since Just Dance, and over the years, it's obvious in many aspects that she's occasionally saying things in an effort to fit into an album explanation, or will flip flop on a topic by the next album cycle.

I don't judge her for it. She's a human being and we all occasionally bullsh*t.

It's just for Chromatica, promo aside, I just don't feel like it's something she's AS involved in as she was prior stuff.

I think sometimes she's just saying what she feels like in the moment. I highly think that if this world would not have been in deep **** at this moment, she would have did a lot of promo stuff for the album.

Oh 100%.

It's why I think people should try to chill out on the promo complaints. It's like they selectively choose to forget everything she's said and had happen to her over the last decade.

Not one person here knew she had a psychotic break and was hospitalized in the Joanne era.

Not one person here knows what she's dealing with now. For all we know she's sitting there in extreme pain, and people sitting here complaining about how "Katy is doing it better".
