Pop songs rarely do well on streaming services and hip hop tends to do much better ESPECIALLY ON AM. yay for Cardi but let’s not act like it’s a amazing thing that a rap solo went #1 on AM US, it’s really not that big of a moment. Male hip hop dominates but it’s harder for female rappers, last year only savage and WAP were female rap hits. It has around 320M streams overall, which equals to 2.13M units and probably third of that (~700k) comes from the US.
