As for who else could be nominated, probably Halsey (Manic) or Selena (Rare), but since they have been ignored by the Grammys for some time now, maybe a random artist will get it Somebody in Goldderby found a voter and asked about Abel’s and Taylor’s submissions, they both submitted their respective album to Pop. Now, it’s up to the committee if they will put After Hours to Pop or Progressive R&B. Folklore will definitely be on Pop category.

Hybrid AT 78
If Gaga manages to somehow win BPVA, she'll join Adele and Kelly Clarkson as the artists with most wins (2 each) "I was protected by the monks of Azarath, I was raised by my friends. Biagio2103 6,138
I only wins I see for us are Pop Album and Pop Duo/Group. Dua did win two Grammys a couple years back, but I don't see her as a strong contender, Grammys don't like radio artists that much. Same goes for Harry. Pop Duo/Group on the other hand may actually be a problem if exile gets nominated, but other than that we're pretty safe. Doja submitted Say So for Pop Solo, Dan+Shay submitted 10,000 Hours for Country Duo/Group, Bieber is not competition with Intentions (and they can't submit Stuck with U since Ariana is also credited as a main artist in ROM), and Maroon 5 would be lucky to be nominated. Pop Solo is actually a strong category this year, may as well be stronger than ROTY and SOTY with Adore You, everything i wanted, cardigan, Don't Start Now, Blinding Lights, Before You Go I'm only good at being bad

Folklore is a strong contender, but they won’t give Tay the award for a 3rd time. The Weeknd’s Grammy campaign is/will be flawless and I’m sure of it. For some reasons, I only see Chromatica snatching a Pop Vocal Album slot and not an AOTY nom. That award is probably gonna go to Folklore. The only strong chance of winning something is with Best Collab. ROTY is gonna go to Blinding Lights for sure and SOTY may go to Harry. There is no way Grammy is going to award mediocrity like After Hours in the same year when FTBC, the highest rated album of all time on MC that critics already call a modern masterpiece, was released. I simply don't see that.
Biagio2103 6,138
The Weeknd and Taylor on Pop Album is actually suicidal, they're both Republic Records artists, so I don't think they were that dumb. He definitely submitted to Progressive R&B Album, but if that wasn't the case, the Academy will for sure move it then. Taylor on Pop Album would be a joke after all the talking about it being an alternative record and stuff (plus having Bon Iver on it who is a two time nominee on Alternative Album). Plus Taylor's last two albums didn't win anything for being send to Pop, but I guess we'll see. I'm only good at being bad

ROM has better stats in every department, be it chart history, sales, streams, awards won, general familiarity. I think ROM should and will prevail in the end. whoresup 2,643
I think people underestimate Harry Styles’ chances at a Grammy win. ‘Fine Line’ is a stunning album and the success of its singles this year will only help it. The Weeknd and Fiona Apple also strong contenders but who knows. I think Gaga will walk away with a Grammy/s in a pop category - would love to see her win a general field one day. Biagio2103 6,138
Maybe I'm delusional but The Weeknd may as well surprise us this year, he was predicted to snatch several Grammys with his previous albums, but barely managed to win three. And after Bruno's wins a few years back, I don't know if they'll recognize R&B that much again. And after Billie's wins, I don't see anyone snatching every major award again. But then again we'll see haha I'm only good at being bad
Hybrid AT 78
The only sweep that's plausible and predictable is Abel's. Nobody else is sweeping, if there is going to be one. I agree, but Pop Duo/Group is known for being one of the few categories that always recognizes the actual best song despite having less succcess, but with the Grammys you'll never know. ROM is better to me, but exile is not far away from it either. I'm only good at being bad

Lana's music is (according to critics) labeled as psychedelic pop, indie pop, alternative pop, Lorde on the other hand was labeled as dream pop and electropop. Taylor's folklore is labeled as indie folk and alternative rock. But I get your point. Like I said, we'll see, Grammys do some crazy things sometimes. If folklore ends up being nominated for Pop Album at the end, is gonna be tough for everyone in the category. I'm only good at being bad
