Warner Bros did a tremendous job on the movie, which in turn boosted the album. But you're right, as usual nothing special was done with ASIB album. In fact they let the obvious smash ARUTW go to waste. But the album as a whole was boosted by WB's incredible marketing of the movie.

What a shock everyone has changed their minds yet again when all is said and done It was a soundtrack not a studio album Love it when you call me legs, in the morning buy me eggs 🥚

Bradley's impact But really, since the success largely depended on Warner considering the film good enough to start with in the annual award competition and marketing it accordingly. Also, ASIB was managed by the same people who worked on other Gaga albums. ASIB the album was poorly managed like every Gaga era, it's just that the movie was such a behemoth and WB did such a great job marketing it that the album soared as a result. Etc... . So whats the point of comparision? This is just another level.. Leave Katy alone (with all the respect cause i have nothing against her) You missed my point I like Katy and still listen to her. I was just saying that if I had to compare gaga with someone it would be Katy because they started around the same time. Katy could easily have a massive comeback next era and gaga could flop and believe me all you would be seeing is the kats comparing them.

LGMonster95 13,704
Not y'all again talking about how ARUTW was a "wasted" opportunity when the song is a big hit by itself. What makes y'all even think that this song would have worked on the radio when we were fighting for almost a year to make Shallow happen on the radio after all the awards, Grammys, Oscars and so on. ARUTW was played here in radios in Spain, probably the first song they played since Applause, locals were using it all over their Instagram stories... it was a big hit already but imagine if it had been properly promoted, a diamond classic! Babylon98 4,830
I think that maybe gaga's team dont push that many singles because they're in it for the long run... songs that are obvious hits will be pushed but other than that they just let them do its thing so that the public wont ever be tired of her. But this is just my uneducated guess

To be fair, while I wouldn’t go as far as to say that it was a “wasted opportunity”, it was a bit weird that they didn’t give it any push at all, not even one performance. Yet I’d say a good 70% of the fanbase expected it to be treated like a normal album and wanted promo singles, songs like Heal Me/WDYDT sent to pop radio, performances on Ellen... As much as people on here think they know what they’re talking about, they really don’t. When you look back at album eras in full (aside from ARTPOP) they’ve all been well managed and somewhat successful, judging an album campaign at the start/in the middle of it is stupid, maybe they should go join the KatyClowns

Maybe in Spain but not in US, I mean after all the stuff that Shallow won, the acclaim, the performances with Bradley that got everyone talking, the movie etc the radios still didn't treated this song like the proper huge hit that it was even after it went to #
