You’ll find a lot of people in this thread that would argue otherwise

Well, they weren’t big ones and definitely they underperform, but they are hits, which is different. I guess we have different criteria when we have to call something a hit or a flop.

Plus If you think about it, if the world hadn’t gone to pot, they’d be using this time to rehearse for the Tour, they’ve probably got a lot planned for after it, they just can’t move it

Based on the current situation, it is likely that most of what was planned for June-July will never materialize or see the daylight. I agree that what is planned for later is not necessary and probably not possible to bring forward.

Can we all just agree that MR was a hit in US and ROM is smashing WW without promo and it's far for being over on charts and radio :vegas:

Genuine Guy 09

Monsters grew with Gaga in a different time era. Ellen performances and Kimmel honestly do nothing now. The no promo thing is a crutch stans of the older MPG use. ROM has been given everything every other big song has rn. It was never gonna destroy US streaming services, although the stagnation on radio isn't cute.

When you say promo, you need to mean big spots within a focused campaign. No such rollout has been possible with ROM, its been all online and it did have an amazon deal (it had an amazing rollout, actually). I am guessing originally the only big spot for it was Billboard Music Awards. That's more than what a lot of songs get - and even then it might not have sent the song back to #1.

The best for ROM rn is for her label to continue to push radio, and more playlists. By this I mean her and Ari to get pushed up on TTHs and Apple music playlist. I do think from what blade said, we haven't seen all of what Chromatica was going to get on Apple Music. Obviously centre stage was given to black artists.

Stare at the Chartster in the mirror they talk to me too. #StreamFunTonight

The Super Bowl is promotion but it’s not comparable to the promotion on here people are asking for

MR Chart Run

#76 - OUT

#57 - #57 - #96 - OUT

#52 - #62 - #70 - #83 - #86 - #96 - OUT

#97 - OUT

#4 - #18 - #30 - #30 - #29 - #38 - #46 - #37 - #41 - OUT

SB Promo and it peaked at #4 before falling again, this is not a Hit, regardless of what Stan says.

RoM chart run without promo is much more impressive, people would do well to remember that

Actually, Born This Way has the same number of weeks spent on the hot 100 :bon:

Bon Appétit & Swish Swish = The Cure chartrun

Never Really Over = Stupid Love chartrun

Everything could be everything (it could mean anything)
