PSYCHOSHTICK 2,818
Why is somebody making a thread about this every month? Most gays don’t like hiphop, that’s why. End of thread.

It blends with the culture of the album having a little bit of every genre.
BillieGOAT 5,198
Bad lyrics, awkward song structure, no flow/shaky transitions between verses, instrumental doesn’t suit her voice, etc.
Werewoof 2,462
I originally thought it was because the lack of Gaga but people love Sour Candy so... my guess is just because of the rap features. (Obviously ). I don’t know I like it a lot though.

I think it’s more of a racial thing than a sexuality thing. Most white gays flock to pop and EDM while most black gays are into R&B and hip hop. GagaSine 7,464
I like rap music quite a lot but it really just doesn’t suit the album to me and kind of ruins the flow. I feel like if it was a TI song feat. Gaga it would be less disliked (then again ppl think Chillin’ is some kind of travesty when it’s totally fine). When people talk about ARTPOP being messy and unpolished Jewels n Drugs definitely adds credence to that. Tbh I don’t like when pop and rap are mixed to fit a trend. Like Starstruck ft. Flo Rida to me is awful but it was a very popular style of song at the time and I know lots of LM’s love it.
paradox 4,568
i'd probably like it if gaga's parts were decent oh and whoever's verse goes "it's the middle of the week this aint even the weekend" is pure garbage
GagaSine 7,464
The lyrical content of the song is also like boring to me. It just doesn’t carry any weight and was obviously Gaga trying to write a popular rap style song (i.e. boasting about wealth, beauty, etc) with no other substance to it
