gagzus 15,867 Posted July 2, 2020 Share Posted July 2, 2020 Also, because streaming is so cheap and sometimes even free, it’s the driving force hence why people are making albums quicker and pushing out singles faster from the newer artists but because Gaga and Bey have more freedom because of their tenure in the industry they tend to do some unconventional things that are from when we were kids still. For example, if Billie wanted 6 music videos and singles like Gaga does for Chromatica then she’d be denied it by her label because of the cost, but Gaga is established and deep into her career with a strong fanbase, same for Beyoncé Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Just Dance came out, Starstruck was made specifically as a backup if JD tanked entirely and was gonna be single #2, then BDR was meant to be the second single and came out as promo for DSM but didn’t do well reception wise or sonically, then they changed it to Poker Face because JD was doing well overseas in Europe and PF resembled JD more, then LoveGame and Eh, Eh were meant to be a double single release even having the same director and contrasting tones visually, then they switched it to Paparazzi and then decided to put out LoveGame after and just make Eh, Eh a territory single and then Boys Boys Boys was supposed to be the last single because of the reception it got at festival season in Europe when she performed it live but got scrapped so they could move onto Bad Romance. Xoxo Adriana 15,040 Posted July 2, 2020 Share Posted July 2, 2020 can we say ICONIQUÈ i don’t want this taken as shade but i genuinely feel like this was her last good album. yes I KNOW, lemonade was literal art but as far as the beyoncè we all loved and grew up with, this album was her most powerful, sexiest, feminist and boldest statement. an album full of bops, nostalgia and completely different to the rest of the albums. i really really hope she returns to her pop/rnb roots for B7, but i don’t think she will honestly. Yup, but not all songs are made to singles, from self titled she got 4 singles, and from Lemonade she got 5 singles.
