However I cant help but notice we only hear about BLM in the months leading up to election. It was huge in 2016 from may upwards then disappeared after November. My friend (who is a POC) brought this to my attention. Anyway I truly hope this isnt the case this year and we carry on this conversation and actually make big change! Even here in the UK my POC friends get stereotyped and followed around shops by security, its truly ridiculous. And people have the nerve to say white privilige doesnt exist. Well, election years are the best times to make a change so of course important issues like that are more prevalent then. I do hope it becomes one of the focuses for the Biden admin and the new Dem controlled congress though Foreign policy is important and all but we need some serious work done on the domestic front.
