I think the best way to describe him is as a Trumpist, or maybe a nonTrumpist. In other words if you are not Donald Trump then you don't matter. I would say he has no real personal views on the rights and wrongs of any major issue, e.g. racism, climate change, how to handle the pandemic. These things mean nothing to him personally. The game he's been in for the last five years is politics, and the only thing that matters to him is winning. He correctly identified racists and assorted other halfwits as the people whose votes might win him the election in 2016, and he wants their votes again. He is a truly dreadful person.
