Sorry, but you sound like you were generalising every American, that's all. Hillary got more votes I believe, regardless of their weird democratic voting system that I don't quite understand, so more Americans voting for her automatically invalidates some of your comment. People did vote against him, more so than Hillary. You seem to literally show no compassion to the MAJORITY who voted AGAINST him.

You seem to literally show no compassion to the MAJORITY who voted AGAINST him. ok, now you're reaching, first of all, i haven't insulted the US americans at all, neither mocked, or anything else like saying that "they deserved it", i've just answered to a comment saying that it's unfortunate to twist it as if this was about us talking about the US and not the US buying a treatment that the rest of the continents need aswell, so please, if you're kind enough to show me where did i show my lack of compassion to that MAJORITY, i'll be glad to apologize for it. But anyways, i'll make it clear again, no, i'm not making fun of the situation, and i would never - about that or any victim of the pandemic. it is a majority since a big part of their/your population, knowing about the incoming danger and his chances of winning and popularity, didn't go to vote and wasted their right and privilege of voting, so yes, in the aftermath, trump won for a majority that actively voted for him and passively didn't vote for stopping his victory. Emvee 8,831
Tbh Americans deserve the bashing (I’m American). Not only did the conservative half vote for Trump, which is moronic on its face - the majority of the liberal half voted for Biden, who sides with the price gouging health insurance and pharmaceutical companies. Every single voting age American is responsible for the things our government does and that either means you’re fighting the system or you’re complicit. America's leadership did something stupid, and people poke fun at issues that don't affect America's leadership, just Americans, in response. So it feels very off putting. Generalizations are bad. But the US has to be the only country that fully accepts a clown/reality tv star who doesn't speak eloquently and says very dumb stuff on TV to sensationalize him in the media, for a major party of the population to love him, go to his rallies. For the debates to be a **** show, a complete joke and for americans to think this is completely normal for candidates to act like they're on a reality tv show with the goal to win as president. I think there is something inherently wrong and insane about the culture of America and how people think. Because I can tell you that in every other country, a clown like Trump wouldn't even be able to be a candidate for the next president. That reminds me of Kid Rock running for governer and getting a lot of votes. A rockstar, has been rockstar who knows nothing about politics, and people support him. The US is definitely a very unique country with unique views in the political standpoint. For example the whole obsession with "freedom" is ridiculous. Wear your mask 'no I wont it's against my freedom', Better healthcare 'No it's against my freedom, this is communism', Better education system 'No this is socialism it's against freedom' Just weird weird country when ur on the outside of it and was never born there so people always come off as super rude for that reason I think. Which is not nice and sorry u feel that way but it's just so ridiculous that I personally can't help but coming off as rude sometimes

Reservations got cancelled last minute, so I couldn't go anyway Plus, my husband is a cross-state delivery driver and has to encounter hundreds of people a day. There's really no way for me to completely self-isolate, because I'll get the virus if he does, and he has to do his job. I didn't figure one meal was going to be the end of me. Sorry for being upset we have terrible healthcare and inadequate leaders. Really no need to make such a snide remark back at me. I wasn't even trying to be rude to you. It's not about you getting infected yourself, it's about you spreading the virus through your husband to those hundreds of people getting a delivery. Egoism versus solidarity. The reason why the US is failing miserably is this mentality - the terrible healthcare and inadequate leaders are only a symptom of it, not the cause of the failure. The data and safety monitoring board recommended early unblinding of the results on the basis of findings from an analysis that showed shortened time to recovery in the remdesivir group. Preliminary results from the 1059 patients (538 assigned to remdesivir and 521 to placebo) with data available after randomization indicated that those who received remdesivir had a median recovery time of 11 days (95% confidence interval [CI], 9 to 12), as compared with 15 days (95% CI, 13 to 19) in those who received placebo (rate ratio for recovery, 1.32; 95% CI, 1.12 to 1.55; P<0.001). The Kaplan-Meier estimates of mortality by 14 days were 7.1% with remdesivir and 11.9% with placebo (hazard ratio for death, 0.70; 95% CI, 0.47 to 1.04). Serious adverse events were reported for 114 of the 541 patients in the remdesivir group who underwent randomization (21.1%) and 141 of the 522 patients in the placebo group who underwent randomization (27.0%). I don't think I would have put anyone in an unsafe situation by going to an outdoor eating establishment with tables spread wide apart and everyone wearing masks. Secondly, my husband and I were going to go there on a date, and the reservations didn't work out anyway. And I don't see why you think this is a matter of egoism. If I get the virus I'd be spreading it to others, which I also don't want.
