Concerts are something I've not really been able to do a lot as a teen but now that I'm an adult and am no longer socially awkward I'm always excited when an artist I like tours. I was so mad that Madonna didn't tour for Madame X in Canada though
donatellab 2,476
I saw her in 2012 when she visited Estonia during the BTWB and when she started playing Hair, hundreds of people started blowing bubbles in the crowd and the whole field was covered in small bubbles, Gaga started crying and it was so beautiful, i still get emotional when i think about it She/Her/Hers
numb the flame 7,321
I had seats for the BTWB in twickenham for the second night and when she birthed herself before BTW everyone around me had no clue what was going on. The first artRAVE in London I remember seeing her stand on the lift and I forgot o breathe. I went into an outer body experience and nearly cried during Donatella () I also got a cup thrown at me before Sexxx Dreams. CTC in London, the woman behind me told me to sit down as she had just had her "knees done" then about five songs before the end the same woman who just had her knees done RAN down the stairs to leave. She was just the type of person who wants to make everyone else miserable. JWT in London I woke up to the notification she cancelled the day before my date and I had a phat mental breakdown. Later that day the VIP package I ordered from eBay arrived and that made me cry even more TCB in London I'm genuinely terrified that my ex got seats right next to me and my dad. Vyxx96 290
artRAVE Chicago July 11, 2014 Spoiler I didn't sleep for almost 48 hours prior to the concert because I was so excited and I just couldn't. I was 18 and am from the middle of nowhere in central IL, so my dumb ass booked a dirt cheap hotel 4 miles away from the venue thinking that Chicago miles were the same as country miles, and then had a very surprising 2+ hour commute at the crack of dawn the day of the concert. I had also never traveled long(ish) distance on my own or ridden a Metra or a city bus before ! Mess. Can't believe I even pulled it off. I waited outside in mid July for 14+ hours, on my period, with the nearest public bathroom over 1/2 mile away, each way, at a dunkin donuts. Made the walk atleast 3 times. During the wait some girls got engaged, we all formed little cliques in line, we sang, I tried to convince some guy to share his pot brownies with me (he did not) and at one point some people pretended that Gaga had showed up and started a literal stampede down the block. By the time we lined up outside, got inside, got through the openers, and Gaga actually came on, I had been standing on my feet with no water or breaks for over 5 hours I was dumby dumb dumb and wore almost-new Doc Martens and to this day have scars on my heels from dancing/jumping until my skin rubbed off and far beyond My bonehead hetero MAGA touting thankfully-now-longtime-ex-boyfriend, who I only took to ensure my safety a bit, ended up screaming and jumping with his hands up and I was shook at the time, and now find hilarious. Gaga has that effect on people I suppose. At one point one of the guys in front of me, who was a stranger, went to get a drink and I was DYING of thirst but refused to leave my spot for fear of losing it. He was a literal angel and brought me back a water in exchange for promising my bf and I + his partner would guard his spot (I paid for the water myself but still). That small bit of hydration probably saved me from dying in the pit tbh A girl was handing out kandi bracelets and the one I got says "Aura", I still have it and my ticket pinned on the wall. My friend passed out during Paparazzi and refused to be taken to the hospital, eventually rejoined the crowd During MJH so many people were smoking weed that security couldn't even try to contain it and just didn't. When she reached her arm out during MANiCURE, everyone behind me surged forward even though we were OBVIOUSLY too far away and I got my face slammed into some sweaty dude's shoulder, was momentarily afraid of being trampled and crushed At the beginning of the concert I had blue winged eyeliner, and after bawling to Born This Way at the piano I was more like a blue panda bear. After the adrenaline of the show wore off I was so tired I could literally barely walk down the sidewalk. Never before have my feet felt sooooo heavy, and never again since. I literally took my body to the brink of collapse and barely managed to stumble into a cab despite being sober. Bonus Story: The night before the show my ignorant, small rural town ass, 18 year old self, decided it would be fine to walk down the street from the hotel, to a gas station, at 11PM, on the south side of Chicago, with my useless twig of a (now-ex)boyfriend. We ended up being followed by a completely delirious/high/drunk(???) and !!enraged!! elderly homeless man, who was babbling incoherently and screaming at us. I yelled at him to stay away and he only got more pissed so we had to take refuge in a Pizza Hut and lock the door behind us. The guy proceeded the throw all the bits of paper and trash in his pockets at the window, banged his middle fingers against it repeatedly, screamed, spoke in ****ing tongues, threw empty bottles, and even pissed on the window before sitting down outside the door to wait for us to come out. We had to call our hotel in desperation and thank god they took pity and had the airport shuttle pick us up at the back entrance of the Pizza Hut. The employees called the police, but I dipped so quickly once the shuttle arrived I have no idea what ended up happening. Never again did I do that dumb of ****!! Scared straight is an understatement! Love + Art
