The chorus is repetitive and could've been more interesting, but the message is good. Florence's vocals are phenomenal, and I wish she would've been given more to work with. It's worth listening to for me occasionally just for Florence's part (I can get better Gaga vocals on other tracks on the album), but ultimately I'm left wanting more. So, for me it's neither a skip nor a bop. I was honestly pretty disappointed with it the first few months after its release. I think I had such grand and melodramatic expectations for the song, considering it was Florence post-HBHBHB and Gaga post-TIHTY. Like, I thought it was gonna be this huge orchestral/brass pop song. It took me a bit of time to really appreciate the sweetness and details of the song. (Because let’s be real, Joanne and A Star Is Born are a package deal) I’m just glad she’s back to making dance-pop. Cool for experimentation, but there are 1,000 chicks who can do exactly what she did on Joanne and A Star Is Born just as well. Nobody on Earth can do what she does on her electronic albums.
