Pop albums of late have taken on different eras & almost updated them. This just feels bland in comparison to what the standard is at the moment. It’s not bad, but it’s not great. Katy should have at least worked with Max Martin on this record but sis, these songs fall FLAT!!!! It honestly seems like Katy just released whatever to get out of an album limit recording contract. But if your first thought is "I don't think it'll grow on me" then it sounds like you're not even willing to give something a try and have already made up your mind.
