I feel you! When I was in middle school and high school I was known as the weird quit girl who never speaks! I never fit in with crowd and it will make me angry or sad when I get rejected by the crowd but mother monster  has taught  me to be yourself and love yourself  no matter what or what I am .That’s why I love about mommy monster so much :)

Smother Em Eh

I was at a after school program at school when I was 9. I heard Just Dance around the time when it came out all the time. I heard it so many times that I really started to like it. I asked who sang it and people around me told me it was, “Lady Gaga”. I went home that day and looked up Just Dance and started watching the music video. Then I got into Poker Face and became a fan.

I was literally like 9 years old but my two friends came up to me at the park and they would not stop talking about poker face and this new lady gaga thing and i didn’t really put too much to mind but then i checked out the video on youtube and couldn’t get the song out of my head and well... then i just fell down a massive homosexual spiral

Lmao the fact I can actually say to younger kids “back in my day” without it being a joke is ruining my 23 year old life  :ladyhaha:

My first memory was when I was in middle school and just dance just came out. One of my friends had the song as their MySpace song. After that I watched her first performance on YouTube.

I’m the same age as Gaga so when I was  22 years old my friends and I would drive to the club. My club was Pulse through my college days! 💗

One time we were in the car on the way to Pulse and Just Dance came on the radio. I didn’t know much about her at all at the time. But we thought it was a fun song!

It wasn’t until later when I started watching music videos and Cherry Tree sessions that I really got into Gaga!

pop ate my heart

I was 10 (2010). Always been a huge synth pop fan without even knowing (Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode) and my father started showing me more and more music like that, even though he didn't like it. One day he came from work saying that one of his workmates has been listening nonstop to an amazing song that I would love. It was Bad Romance. He showed me the mv

Girl.... when I tell you I was blown tf away. COMPLETELY.BLOWN.AWAY. I've never heard or seen something so perfect, interesting, satisfying, intriguing and relatable to my soul and taste. It was everything I loved in one song and mv. And still is, after all these years. I was GLUED to the screen. Couldn't stop watching and hearing for months!

And then, discovering that all of the HUGE hits that everybody knows and that I've been hearing on the radio, and I wanted SO bad to know their names 'cause I loved them, were all hers. When I discovered Paparazzi was hers... another moment... when the first chorus kicked in and watched her get up from the wheelchair in that golden robotic outfit... I screamed and gagged. She became my whole world. I lived and breathed her art

:bradley: ugh I wish I could discover Gaga all over again. I wanna feel those feelings one more time..

I remember getting ready for primary school every morning and having MTV on in the background and Just Dance was always playing but I never listened until I found myself saying "da da doo @Doot (tease:neyde:)" at school. Then I stalked the song every other morning.

The first time I heard Bad Romance I was in my stepdad’s truck on the way to school and he had the nerve to turn it after the Rah Rah Ah ahah Gaga Ooh Lala but even though I only heard the hook, I KNEW it was over then. Once I heard the full song it was the moment i one she had me glued to her for eternity

I was in High School, working at McDonalds, and went into the break room where I found my coworkers and manager listening to some new song on the computer.

My manager was like, "It's Lady Gaga, duh! She's amazing!" Just Dance. It was Just Dance. No one knew who she was yet. :spin:

I just remember listening to a small part, and when she did the "da da do do" part, I misheard and thought she was saying "gotta doo-doo", and was so confused why they were obsessed with a song about trying to just dance through the feeling of needing to sh|t. :billie:
