ilocorB 548
I think it’s really weird that she is not coming to Montreal. She’s been here a lot in the past and usually she loves it (well, except for the time she broke her hip...) I know we’ve been spoiled and we deserve it less than other cities/countries, but i just think it’s weird.

Fuffy 1,027
Fibromyalgia, that's why it's short. Touring is hard work over a long time, which is why she settled in Vegas as it provides her with a routine and no travel demands. To compensate the lack of dates, she's putting them out on stadium tours. It's a fair win-win for fans and herself. The locations she chose are fairly central to most of her fanbase (by quantity, not by area). I doubt she'd pull a world tour of the bag, and to be honest, she shouldn't have to. Her health is way more important than her concerts (sorry Brazil).

We know that if it was, she would go everywhere (although maybe not now with her health). I remember reading an article about just how difficult it is for Western artists to do a huge production in areas like Asia, South America, Africa. Apparently it’s a logistical (and financial) nightmare to ship all the equipment and set etc so far away that it ends up not being very financially viable, which makes sense. I’ve noticed it even more in recent years than, say, ten years ago. It’s pretty rare for a big pop artist to take a tour with huge production truly global. I feel so bad for the fans that suffer as a result of that...
gagaisitalian 3,573
I also think it's weird. It's not that it's just three dates in the United States...it's that they're all in the same corner of the country. Boston, Chicago and NJ are virtually neighbors. What's weirder? NJ isn't even close to selling out yet... I don't understand the plan for this tour at all. I'm not complaining, yet, because I think more will be added and that the three dates were a test run for ticket sales. But why would she ignore HUGE markets like Texas or Florida when she is allowed to have shows in these states based on her Enigma contract. I understand this is a limited tour, but someone explain to me having three stadiums right next to each other rather than doing like one East Coast stadium, one Texas stadium (which would easily be filled by the sheer amount of fans in Texas which has two of the biggest cities in America), upper west coast stadium, etc. This would probably help with the fact that one of her three stadiums is only half sold out right now. Tony31511 310
Like others have said, I think it’s strange that all the shows are in close proximity to each other (at least the North American dates). If she’s going to only do 4 NA shows, why not spread them out more geographically? New Jersey, Boston and Toronto are basically neighbors.

The tour was announced the same week that everything started to shut down so it's not very surprising. Also, unlike the other two venues, the NJ date is a whole football stadium (something she's never done in the US before). Also she's not allowed to tour in a lot of states bc of her Vegas contract. Chicago/NY/Boston makes sense because those were some of the biggest dates of the Joanne tour.

Imagine all the ppl that would travel to different countries only to have a date annonced in their country later. It doesn’t make sense to put ppl through that and I’m sure they know that and otherwise would have announced all the dates at once. Not that weird. Beyonce added a Barcelona concert for the Formation tour last minute, once I already bought a ticket for another city To me it's pretty obvious that they are just announcing the posponed dates but they will add more later on once the situation stabilizes. They still have a year to see how miss corona progresses
2School4Cool 6,445
There technically is a New York show since MetLife Stadium is only 8 miles or 13 km away from New York City. Plus, two New York football teams play there, even though technically it’s located in New Jersey. I honestly think the limited dates are simply so that she can play the songs live a few times without needing to handle a grueling tour schedule. With two of her world tours being canceled early due to her health, I’m sure she would hate to put herself back in that situation. Sure, less fans get to see her this tour with only 6 shows, but I’m so glad to see her putting her health first. And who knows? Maybe there will be a few more dates to be announced later or surprise performances with Ariana, Elton, or BLACKPINK. HausOfAntonio 8,021
I hope she handles this schedule well health-wise 🙏 It must be so hard to live with something that might make you feel like you’re not doing enough for your fans But we all understand and know this is whats best for her! But it's serving as the show for New York...the biggest city in America. Also, with only three dates and a lot of fans flying into these shows, it just doesn't look promising that the show in the biggest city isn't selling very well. Maybe it's the ticket prices turning people off? I'm aware of her Vegas contract, but she is allowed to tour in Texas, Florida, Washington, etc. These are all over 1,000 miles away from Las Vegas. She sells out Houston every time she comes here. She sells out a lot more cities than just Chicago/NY/Boston. Again I just think the tour would be selling better if she did one stadium in Texas, one in Seattle and then kept the NJ one.
ToxicHot 6,444
Well I suppose it makes sense. From a business standpoint, less dates would mean more demand (so the tickets could be EXPENSIVE). And I think having surprise guests would be a great idea as well. dOnT sAd ReAcT mE 2 bE sHaDy i WiLL RePoRt U!!1!
Juniper 972
Wasn’t there 2-3 more dates in Asia planned but they were scrapped before tickets were announced, because of the pandemic?
intotherosegarden 57
Wasn't the Chromatica tour a promo tour intended for this year hence its limited dates? She will likely need to add more dates come next year to keep hype alive or keep fans interested. Edit: im also sure she isn't allowed in China? Or is that just for televised media after the interview controversy?
