I do think it was always going to be a smaller tour, but I think the plan was to announce spaced out legs of the tour incrementally, probably taking a few weeks or a month off in between for rest and recovery. That plan went out the window with the pandemic, of course, so I’m sure the focus has been figuring out what to do with the dates currently announced. I think there will be more dates announced eventually. Touring is a huge money-earner for artists and labels, and doing all that prep work for only 6 dates doesn’t make a ton of sense.

Are those venues arenas atleast? She could easily fill arenas with this little dates

I don't know, actually! Sorry I don't have more info.

Well she's not allowed to tour within some thousand miles of Vegas as long as her contract with MGM is in effect. I forget the exact number but that basically rules out California etc.

The NJ date is essentially New York. It's close by and a huge venue.

There were rumors she had Asia dates but they fell through. Maybe because her team was worried about the virus? Remember that at first the virus was only in Asian countries before it spread.

So maybe she will add those back once its safe?

I hope she adds SA or at least does Rock in Rio, Brazil deserves it.

The main reason for the limited dates is undoubtedly her health. Like others have said I hope she records this show and releases it. The Monster Ball HBO was almost 10 years ago...

Meh, that sounds like fanfiction to me if you really think through it. Why would a global superstar like Ariana or Elton plan to fly in to the location, wait around backstage all day and night, and then feature for 2 minutes for several dates of a 2-4 hour long Gaga show?  I just don't understand signing on to a tour to get to perform >1 minute of vocals per night. :smh:

My old cat is a tough man, but i cant deny the way he bites my hand and he stabs me, he grabs me by my heart <3

MTE. Honestly, as much as I'd be here for it, I don't think it's reasonable to think she would bring them with her on tour.

I see them going on for ONE date if coachella doesn't work :toofunny: the only realistic option is blackpink opening for her

Sure it wouldn't reach as many people as the tour and era had potential for, but from a business point of view, it will still turn in major profits, contrary to what many are claiming in this thread.

These are stadium dates, not arena ones, and they're gonna be filled with at least 35,000 people, mostly 50,000 people per night, and it's gonna get her between $4 mil and $8 mil depending on pricing.

Blackpink is way too big to open for Gaga, especially by next year.

They should get smaller artists like Katy Perry to open for her instead. :poot:

I doubt it. Imagine all the ppl that would travel to different countries only to have a date annonced in their country later. It doesn’t make sense to put ppl through that and I’m sure they know that and otherwise would have announced all the dates at once.

This is thing that makes me think there won't be more dates added. She is no doubt well aware that people will fly considerable distance to see her if they can and if they think it's their only chance (looking at you, right there, little miss Enigma Vegas...). It would be unfair to anyone who's decided to travel if dates were then added that could have saved them so much in travel and accommodation costs. Interscope/Live Nation quite possibly don't have quite that level of consideration though...

Also she does have a bunch of Vegas dates still to do to fulfill that contract, plus the film if it does actually come off and filming is able to start again and fit everyone's schedules. I feel like everything she has on her plate was considered, her health factored in, and they genuinely figured 6 stadium dates were the best they could do.

I swear if any disaster, natural or otherwise, arrives to ruin next summer...my last 4 Gaga dates have all been cancelled, I'm starting to fear that I might be the curse :saladga:

I agree, organizing a stadium sized stage and arrangement just for 6 dates seems very profitless.

Maybe more dates will come, she hasn't been to Australia, Asia and South America since 2014, it's just not the right time to announce tour dates.

No one promises you the big show. The show can be similar to her Coachella.
Also, Eminem and Rihanna had tour with 6 dates only and it was ok

Did you think I'd show up in a limousine? No
