Why are y'all talking about the Chromatica II + 911 as if Gaga is the only person in the universe who did a seamless transition in an album tho :poot:

I mean, it is great, but there are better ones in Confessions & Turn Off the Light :vegas:

As an album, though, who the **** says its generic, have they not listened to it at all :triggered:

It's the transitioning between classic and EDM in one second, it's like her own middle finger to everyone, it's kinda rude thing to do but she still did that :laughga:

It's simple to make a transition between 2 EDM songs, but it takes a lot of creativity and work to make it with classic and transition it to EDM.

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

Literally! It's not generic at all. It's predominately and experimental dance/house album and it's incredible.

"Chromatica II to 911 is a good moment so its not generic!!" :billie:

They're elements that don't make the album a "generic pop record".

Yes I don’t think it’s generic either. It’s definitely one of her safest records but it’s still got the bold Gaga touch. It has its generic moments tho, specifically Free Woman, Fun Tonight, and 1000 Doves (even though I still love that one)

Fun Tonight and 1000 Doves are indeed some of her most "generic" songs, but also, they're some of my favorites songs, not only on Chromatica, but in her discography. I know that's an unpopular opinion, but hey, FT and 1000 Doves are banger songs that don't deserve the hate that they get.

its definitely a cute moment- although overhyped - but those 2 seconds don't make the album any less of generic dance music.

doesn't mean it's bad, but it's safe af.

Chromatica is something you'd expect from Gaga. Synth and manipulated vocals from TFM and some vocal flexes sprinkled through each of her works. A song transition, a clever rhyme, and an outro don't save the album as a whole though. There are a lot of songs that cleverly flow into one another. Weird rhymes have been done for ages with how the words are pronounced, Sia and Nicki being examples. I'm not sure I've heard an outro like SFA, but 30 seconds isn't gonna make the whole album unique. I don't personally like to compare Gaga and Madonna, but Madonna could have pulled off Babylon too.

I do thoroughly enjoy Chromatica, but to act like it's a unique body of work would be ignorant. It's nothing ground breaking and doesn't bring anything new to music. I feel like the SOPHIE productions could have brought something unique, though I hope Gaga is able to make the sound hers. I see a lot of similarities between Chromatica and Witness, and just find it kind of funny how differently they're perceived on here.

It’s not generic, but some of the songs sounds a bit safe. But ultimately, it’s probably her best album since BTW.
