JusKeepBreathin 19,311 Posted June 25, 2020 Share Posted June 25, 2020 Now it appears Ritchie Torres, 32, a gay Afro Latino (1/2 Puerto Rican) Democrat has taken the early lead in the race to represent the Bronx in Congress, leading front runner Ruben Diaz Sr., 77, an anti gay, pro Trump Democrat who’s Puerto Rican. Torres would succeed Puerto Rican Congressman Jose Serrano if he’s declared winner. Despite Torres’ lead, most New Yorkers reportedly voted absentee and those votes won’t be counted for at least another week according to the NY Post.
