There's nothing wrong with what she said, but her team needs PR101 lessons: don't regurgitate talking points that have been said literally months prior. She's not very good at creating hype around her releases now that there isn't industry machinery supporting her.

I mean I’m not surprised at this point. But I still wish her the best. Imo she needs to not care about numbers too much and just let it flow and learn and grow from that.

Also, she needs good playlisting. That new Beyoncé song was straight up at #1 on Today’s Top Hits (playlist) on Spotify and it performed terribly and missed the Global Top 50 altogether. Yet it only fell at #9 on the playlist the next day. Katy’s Daisies only went as high as #13 on that playlist. So, her team is clearly not investing on her songs enough. She shouldn’t be scared of flopping but she should be able to get the proper playlisting and roll outs.

This is such a harmless, neutral comment how can people be getting so worked up about it. Her songs have been played in gay clubs for years. She’s had gay fans for years.  It’s not a weird thing for her to say, she’s just giving info that there will be a dance song, given Daisies is so not like that.  I feel so bad for her, she’s super pregnant and doing so much promo! Leave Katy alone!  (But also, if Gaga would give even one live performance Chromatica could so easily have been #1 again!  Why isn’t gaga performing at this pride thing or rock the vote thing or anything!!)
