This mf SERVE:giveup: the proceeds from purchasing the song all go to black owned businesses, and she posted on her website promoting tons of the businesses! I LOVE how much she makes it her goal to show her black pride and showing the beauty of being black. Song is definitely a grower, but a great message and the song is for a good cause, so nothing to complain about:applause:

Not even a grower, a serve from the first four seconds first time you listen to it :bradley:

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

This is the first Bey thread I've seen on GGD where no one has really bashed her.

OT: it's a cute song about current events in our society. Well done Bey.

Because it’s for charity. We don’t like Beyoncé but that doesn’t mean we’re bad people.

There were two iffy comments before I posted that. To be honest, three pages with only four negative comments about Beyonce is a new record for GGD, not even threads about Gaga herself can do that well!

I appreciate her making this and the proceeds going to black owned businesses.

Spoiler

But I don't like the song

So if this song wasn't for charity y'all would be running riot screaming "this song is trash" even if the message was the exact same but just not for charity? I don't understand this fanbases hatred towards Bey. The dislike towards the hive I understand as they have been rude towards us (and some people have done the same back to the hive) however Bey herself has never said anything rude about Gaga, as far as I'm aware.

I really like the lyrics (although they were hard to catch at some points :air:) Musically, this one's not for me but that doesn't mean much. I like her music when it touches on issues. Hopefully it does good for a good cause

This being a charity single means that we won't be getting a new Beyoncé album soon right?

On a side note this really reminds me of her work in The Gift. Am I just being ignorant on this genre or can we say that album influenced Bey's music for the future? Can we expect music like this in her next album?

Is there some reason my LG7 isn't here? Has she died or something?
