That’s not a contradiction. It’s not about showing the clothing 1:1 in proportion, like I said the clothing is supposed to be focus on as a design and construction aspect like I said. The points where things end still match up to actual body points so those are the guidelines, the extended parts give more room to draw and prevent things from looking unclear - sketches are usually small

Either way the point is - these are sketches. These aren’t a body image campaign. Nor are they used for marketing. They are images drawn by people designing clothes who have no real background in anatomy or figure drawing. The only thing they seek to accomplish is show clothing designs, nothing more nothing less.

If a designer can't draw a simple quick sketch with proper proportions because they lack knowledge of anatomy, then how is anyone supposed to believe they know how to make a pattern for 1 person or gosh multiple sizes. Cut fabric, sew, get everything shrunk or expanded for reality. It seems very complicated if you start with a design on a sketch that isn't proportional to reality.

Why don't designers have knowledge of human anatomy, at least enough to properly design clothes for different body shapes, petite, long, miss, ms, from size 0 to 26? It would seem to be essential designer knowledge.

If details of certain things need to be shown, there should be a zoomed in detail picture, in addition to the full size image. That's how it is done elsewhere. Ever put together an IKEA product?

At this point, I think I'm being trolled. It's just obscene to me that fashion designers wouldn't give a f@ck about the actual real shape of a human body when designing clothes, bespoke or otherwise.

My mind is officially blown. I've gotten way too repetitive here. Signing off.

It’s just a conceptual drawing... it’s not meant to be a final design. It’s just supposed to present an idea. Obviously they know the actually proportions. They will all be custom to her measurements. No need to hate on them.
