dit 46,450
i low key feel like Nicola has stagnated a bit with his inspiration tbh. It's nice he is looking at new up and comers works online possibly to get inspired and also shouting them out! i love to see that.

Her proportions are much more normal where head and torso are a little more than 1/2. Also, her legs are not deformed and unnaturally curved. The mecha spider look is certainly eye catching. But they better make sure those dang blades don't ever touch her while she dances inside that thing. I don't trust the person that drew these deformed sketches to give a f@ck about her well-being and I don't want her to need extra bags of blood on tour for a real transfusion because of a badly made costume. PS. The sketches need to be redrawn with correct body proportions, because the look will be different. No 12" heels on-stage in every costume to please an irrational unrealistic designer. It is how designers have been sketching all these while And the spider costume ever being made, she wont dance in it. It is just not feasible. It will be like the living dress where she just stand there

These are Giorgio Armani sketches for the BTWB. Like, they were made specifically for Gaga (and the bitch barely looks like her). Is it realistic? No! Does it create unrealistic expectations? Yes! Is is something that maybe we could change? Of course! But it's not the fan's fault and it doesn't show lack of ability and laziness of him I think a designer should have enough respect for a client to get the proportions correct, especially when the clients pictures are so easy to find anywhere. It "should be" fashion 101 to get the person's proportions correct. These Armani sketches are lazy too.

It's not like they will deformed their model into what seen in sketches. Who talked her into those icky "implants" in her shoulders and face for the BTW mv. She has deformed herself before. IMO, she doesn't have to keep wearing 12" heels because all the designers decide to draw women with unnaturally long legs. Women are not plastic dolls. Women are not plastic dolls. I kind of agree tho. Even if it's not directly hurting anyone and we should be worrying about stuff that does harm women in a worse way, it still is a subconcious reflection of how these MEN designers view and expect women's bodies to be, whether you like it or not. It's completely unnecesary to make them look like that, so why do it? It's because of that. The same with comics, manga and cartoons (despite the differences). And the fact that they've been doing sketches like this since forever is not a valid argument at all. Literally every sexist/racist/homophobic microagression has been done since forever. Do yall get where I'm coming from? am i-e-i-e-i-e-i-e-i-e-i-p-plastic

Blade tips pointing directly at her knee and achilles tendon. Mecha joints that look like they should move. It looks very dangerous.

Is that even a debate? Gaga wanted that kind of aesthetic for her BTW era, because she was "birthing the new breed", don't put this stuff to defend your narrative, it is embarrassing tbh. The same thing with her choice of shoes, that's all her own choice. She choose to wear those Tatehana, those Armadillos, and more from being started our just wearing flats. Nobody is forcing her and she never once complained about it.
